A special treat for those of you who attended the banquet

May 15, 2009

If you guys got to the banquet near the beginning and made your way to the food table, you most likely saw a cakepan with the sign in front of it that said, “Better-Than-Sex Cake (Caution: May not be better than sex). The extremely lucky ones got to have part of this decadent creation.

If you can’t tell, I was the one who made it.

Anyway, since so many people loved it I thought I would post the recipe here so you guys can wow your guests at future get-togethers. Here it is:

1 box chocolate cake mix
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 bottle caramel ice cream topping
1 tub whipped topping (room temperature)
1 bag Heath Crunch
1 bag mini chocolate chips
And any other candy you might fancy–M&Ms add a nice splash of color

Bake cake according to instructions on box.
While cooling, use handle of wooden spoon to poke holes about an inch apart.
Pour in sweetened condensed milk FIRST, then caramel. If you mix this up the caramel will seal out the sweetened condensed milk. Try to fill all the holes. Feel free to use up the entire can, but leave a little in the bottle to drizzle on at the end.
Let cake cool.
Frost with (room temperature) whipped topping.
Sprinkle with Heath Crunch, mini chocolate chips, and other candies, drizzle with leftover caramel.
Cut a slice, sit back, and enjoy. To store, keep cool.

Thank you to those who attended!
