Jezebel featured the art of artist Ariana Page Russell this week, and I think their analysis was pretty on point:

Russell’s art is absolutely gorgeous. She has dermatographia, an autoimmune condition which causes her capillaries to dilate when her skin is scratched. So she turns her body into art, and the results are beautiful:
Ariana shows how your body is an extension of your whole self. Her art and creative expression are inseperable with her body.
